These terms apply to your use of Australian Citizenship Practice (the “site”), operated by A NICE GUY (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. Not an official government service

This site is an independent study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Australian Government, the Department of Home Affairs or any other government body. Our questions are not the official test questions. For official information about citizenship and the citizenship test, visit the Department of Home Affairs website.

2. Not legal or migration advice

Nothing on this site is legal or migration advice. For advice about your circumstances, speak to the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent or lawyer.

3. Accuracy and results

We work to keep the questions accurate and in line with the current testable booklet, Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond, but the official content and test rules can change and we cannot guarantee that everything on the site is complete, current or error-free. Passing our practice tests does not guarantee that you will pass the official citizenship test. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

4. Your account

• An account is optional. If you create one, give a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Accounts are for personal use by one person.
• You can delete your account at any time from the “My account” menu.
• We may suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms or are used to misuse the site.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

• copy, scrape or republish the question bank or explanations, in whole or in substantial part, without our written permission;
• interfere with the site, its security or other users, or try to access data that isn’t yours;
• use automated tools to access the site in a way that places an unreasonable load on it;
• click on ads, or encourage others to click on ads, other than out of genuine interest, or otherwise generate invalid ad traffic.

6. Intellectual property

The site’s design, code, questions and explanations are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for your own personal study. Australian Citizenship: Our Common Bond is published by the Commonwealth of Australia; references to it are provided to help you study the official material.

7. Advertising and links

The site shows ads provided by Google and its partners, and links to other websites, including official government sites. We are not responsible for the content, products or services of advertisers or linked sites.

8. Availability

The site is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice before closing the site so that account holders can note their results.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded. Subject to that, the site is provided “as is”, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, including any outcome of an official citizenship test or application.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of NSW, Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
